Paulo Serna: Property Manager
Paulo started as a summer intern with us in 2001 and worked
in the field for our maintenance department under our senior
maintenance man, Terry Waterman. We loved his work ethic
and asked him to keep coming back. True to form, he came
back each summer while earning a degree in General Engineering
at Santa Clara University which he completed in 2005. As
part of his curriculum, he spent time in Mexico as a team
leader for the construction of low income housing in Tiajuana.
Since completing his degree, he’s managed a 26 unit luxury
apartment building which had all its units and common areas
gutted and completely renovated, and has specialized in
condominium management for us. His background has helped
him become the kind of hands on professional we seek in
an employee. His dedication to detail, and to servicing
clients is extraordinary.

John Fischer: Director of Renovations, Canyon
Pacific Maintenance
When a tenant moves out, John moves in. John has extensive

quickly and ready for the next tenant moving in. He's been
a carpenter building custom homes since 1991, he's done
full foundation installations and seismic upgrades. He's
selected and managed subcontractors for years. Nothing gets
by him, and he has an eye for quality at a good price. As

to get a job done efficiently, and yet still provide the
quality our tenants and owners demand.
